The 21-year-old midfielder enjoyed a productive debut campaign at San Siro on the back of his 2023 move from Valencia. He made 40 appearances across all competitions, with 30 of those coming in Serie A, but started only 13 games in the Italian top-flight.

Competition for places has led to links with the likes of Lyon, with offers reportedly being readied for the New York native. Musah has, however, been figuring off the bench for Milan during their pre-season tour of the States – with new Rossoneri boss Paulo Fonseca finding a role for him.

WHAT FONSECA SAID

Fonseca has no intention of sanctioning a sale, telling of Musah’s place in his plans: “I’m 200% sure he’s the kind of player for our game. He showed [against Real Madrid] in 30 minutes, it was amazing with just a few days of working with us. I’m very confident with him. I believe he can be very important for our team. But of course, he must improve many things, but my opinion? He has the right characteristics to play in this position in our game.”
