23-Dec-2001Pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar arrived here from Australia onSaturday to join the national training camp which is alreadyin progress at the Gaddafi Stadium for Bangladesh tour,starting from Jan 2, 2002.Shoaib was the only missing player of the training campamong the 16-member team which has been announced for thetour.Shoaib, however, did not join the training camp andpreferred to meet the PCB chairman Lt.Gen. Tauqir Zia, afterarriving at the stadium.National coach Mudassar Nazar said that he had not held ameeting with Shoaib Akhtar therefore, he was not in aposition to say about the next programme of Shoaib Akhtar.Mudassar Nazar said that Inzamam-ul-Haq who could not reachhere after Eid holidays due to domestic problem had joinedthe camp. He said that all the players were fit for thegame.
